so this week was the alst dance concert and senior prom. weird how things just happen and you’re like, “woah, already?” anyways, time to recap..

spring dance concert. so much fun. looking back on it, we had some bomb dances. i kinda regret not joining in on the tap, but dude, im totally not up to par on that, and i had fun watching them, so sall good. the pirates dance was my fave. so intense, very theatrical, which is what theater dance should be about, right? dancing with justin for a hot second in that dance always reminds me of mo dance and all the fun stuff last year, which was nice, even if we were battling it out. today 4 you was just soo funny, i can never stop smiling in that dance. thats the only time that the whole class was onstage at the same time, so it was a very ensemble moment at the end of that. the janet dance was intense, but so cool. fetters did pretty well this eyar for us, which is pretty dope. i’l miss her alot when we graduate. haha, im gunna miss td ensemble. especially our little corner in the room with sarah sabby charise hava michael and sometimes timmy. just good memories with all of them especially racing in odd positions across the room during the show. :] ahh good times. and watching old dance concerts with sabby on the last night was so fitting. like, man. so nice. oh, and the last night, we had senior toast. oh man. most of the seniors were crying and making speeches and such. kinda put things in perspective that scpa life is ending for us. gotta track on. it was a good bonding time for all the seniors. aww imma miss scpa dance.

mmk, well yestrday was prom. haha, what a day. k, sooo to start things off, the alst two periods of school were very lonely, since everyone bounced to get ready. haha. well then i got dressed, headed to kathryns hosue, where apparently my bun was not prom material. so diana and tawnee helped my hair out, thank you!! much appreciated. everyone started to arrive, and everyone was so pretty and handsome! i must say, our lunch group is pretty goodlookin. haha. there were alot of people, haha. anyways, since balboa park was cut on account of the weather, we took pictures at kathryns fireplace. i really like that tradition btw. anyways, then we headed to jose/chris’ dads restaurant. they had some bomb food. unfortunately, we sticked around for too long, so we had to book it to the bahia, where prom was at. the people who drove got the cars while the rest of us tried to stay dry in the front of the restaurant. got picked up, then got lost finding the freeway, then got lost like 5 billion times getting to west mission bay drive, hahah. we would be the ones with the direction trouble. a car full of bad eye sighted people in the rain late for prom. haha. anyways finally got there. did the whole meet and greet thing before, then danced with various groups that i found on the dance floor. the place was super nice, i liked it alot. props to asb. anyway. took the L7 picture, 18 people strong. more dancin until prom court votes. then mor dancing until the senior toast, and them prom court. lunatics were prom king and queen! it’s one of those wtf moments where its like really? deng. thats sooo cool. haha. i didint think id get it, maybe alisa or simone or something. but it was nice to be acknowledged like that. ill remember it fersure. thanks to those who voted for me. super appreciated. well, after than pictures and more dancing. then, end. :[ so weird how short it felt. but what a good few hours. after we went to ultra zone for laser tag. i kept on getting shot :[, but it was still pretty fun. just going bang bang bang. hahah. then me and diana headed home since my mom wasnt down for havas. and then, ko. sleep.
overall, this week has been really amazing. dance concert, prom, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. so nice. the end of high school is coming to such a good end.

oh and ps. if people have pictures from prom, send them to me! thanks :]

musicals never fail me.

okay, so i def go through my certain musical phases. my first one was rent, les mis, west side story, forbidden broadway, south pacific, then wicked, bare, piece, then spring awakening, then urinetown. i love all musicals really, but in between all the random musicals, theres that one soundtrack for maybe a good 6 months that i have to listen to everyday. my itunes probably hates me for it, and my cd player does too, haha.
but in a past maybe 2 months, i didnt have a soundtrack to turn to, i just put everything on shuffle and enjoyed what came up. but after watching rent the movie after mybe a year of not watching it, it reminded me of why that was my first phase. reminded me of why that was the first broadway musical that i chose to see ( i saw beauty and the beast before i saw rent, but my mom chose that when i was in the sixth or seventh grade because she didnt want me seeing something that was called “urinetown”,  or “thoroughly modern millie” because i didnt know what they were. hahahaha. wow how i regret that choice.) anyways, im in rent/spring awakening mode right now. the rock musicals, yeah. the “hair” of the 90’s generation and the 2000’s generation. those revolutionary, intense, epic, message sending “yeah i totally feel you” musicals that i guess you can say, as cliche as it sounds, is the “voice of our generation.” but whatever. i love these shows, i wish i could see rent again on broadway, especially because anthony rapp and adam pascal are in it until they close in june! but haha i dont think im going across the country in june. and im excited that spring awakening is coming this summer on tour. :]:]
mmm musicals make me happy, even if they have the most depressing content ever. like, listening to rent’s “what you own” and “without you” mmm joy :] the finale gives me chills too :] all of the songs are bomb, except “i should tell you” and “your eyes”.  those songs bug me.
and in spring awakening, i can never get tired of “left behind” and “don’t do sadness.” even if both songs deal with depression and suicide. i love those songs. again i like all the songs except “the word of your body.” annoying song to me.
hmm, i think im gunna listen to some music :]
